Awesome Things Cats Do

Meow! It's Charlie. Inspired by the last post, Weird Things Dogs Do, here are five Awesome Things Cats Do (or should I say pawsome)!

1. Groom ourselves

Cats clean themselves. How cool is that?? Humans have to shower every day, dogs have to get bathed every week or two. Cats don’t have to take baths. Ha.

2. Poop in a box (how many dogs do that??)

How many other animals can use the bathroom in a box? And convince another species to clean it!

3. We don’t need thumbs

Some might say we aren’t as useful as humans because of the fact that we don’t have thumbs. Some cats actually do have “thumbs” (an extra toe on the side of the paw) but the rest of us – we don’t need them. We already have slaves who take care of us and buy everything we need.

4. We’ve conquered the human race

Maybe you won’t admit it yet, but we’ve already won. You may think “oh no I’m not anyone’s slave.” Think about it this way – do you go to work? Yes. Do cats go to work? No. Do you spend your money on us? Yes. Do you clean our poop box? Yes. Do you feed us and pet us? Yes and yes. You may not realize it, but cats have already conquered the world, but we’ve done it in the sneakiest of ways. We let you think that you still are the top animal.

5. Exist

To be honest, our very existence is pretty awesome. We’re these adorable, soft, fluffy little creatures that are independent and can take care of ourselves, yet we let you do it because it makes you happy (and we get free stuff).
